Berry Apple Spinach Smoothie

This smoothie is antioxidant rich and boasts a moderate amount of potassium per serving. It’s also a good source of fiber and calcium, and is just under 20 grams of carbohydrates. Give this kidney- and diabetes-friendly smoothie a try!

Berry Apple Spinach Smoothie

Serving Size: 1/2 cup

Servings: 6

Time to Prep: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen, unsweetened blueberries

  • 1 cup fresh, halved strawberries

  • 1 medium banana

  • 1 medium apple, with skin

  • 1 cup spinach, raw

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 cup unsweetened oat milk

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.

    1. Serve 1/2 cup immediately, or freeze in 1/2 cup portions.

      *If serving from frozen, break into pieces, and combine in a jar with a little bit more oat milk. Shake vigorously until smooth, then enjoy. (Note, adding a little more oat milk will increase the nutrient contents from what is listed below.)
